Printed and digital publications, in the form of PDF maps and collection reports, allow us to extend ArtAround’s reach into the physical world, and provide an opportunity to look critically at our archivization efforts.
While our maps simply offer information on a new collection of public art, reports allow for a more in-depth look at who creates the art in our public spaces and who is represented by it.

ArtAround New Haven
2022
With the launch of our new platform in May 2021, new artworks are coming to the map in our director, Lindsey’s new home of New Haven. Interviews with artists creating art in New Haven are published on the Arrow, and with the Yale School of Art’s Open Studios in April 2022 (Lindsey works there as Assistant Director of Communications), she printed and published a PDF map of ArtAround New Haven Art Spaces.
Print copies are available across New Haven as part of Artspace New Haven’s 2022 Open Source festival in October.

ArtAround Pratt
2017
The archivization of the public sculpture garden at Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn campus was made possible through grant funding awarded to our director in her final year of graduate studies at the school.
With such proliferation of sculptural work within such a small area, artworks were grouped by area, according a series of custom collection tags.
