ArtAround exists as a database but it lives as a community, made up of:
Everyone, everywhere is invited to help build the map of art — however you define it — in cities and neighborhoods around the world.
Either upload photos anonymously or become an ArtAround Ambassador and get a custom tag to track your contributions to the map.
The Ambassador community exists at the core of ArtAround, but their work is extended and enabled by our Partners and Supporters: public arts organizations and enthusiasts who donate their archives for aggregation on the map, or financially support ArtAround’s web hosting and maintenance.
Ambassadors
The ArtAround Ambassadors are a global community of people archiving their photos of public art & street art on the map.
The artworks they’ve uploaded are tracked through their Ambassador handle, a custom tag that links all their works in the database.
Partners
ArtAround only grows thanks to the incredible organizations commissioning and creating art around the globe. In 2017, we began working with arts festivals and institutions as partners, aggregating the art they help make possible.
If you’re a street art festival, city arts commissioner, or public art nonprofit, we want to preserve the work you’re creating and help people find it.
Supporters
As a fiscally-sponsored nonprofit, ArtAround is a labor of love that relies on the generosity of our amazing community of supporters.
These include our Sponsors (organizations) and Donors (individuals) who help keep ArtAround online and accessible to all.
You can also purchase merch from our Threadless shop, or join the Anchor Club — our sustaining group of supporters — by making a recurring monthly donation in any amount.
