Collections

Collections function as custom tags that we create for sponsored archivization efforts as well as for Ambassadors who’d like to group their uploads by neighborhood, town, or other helpful means of organization on the map.

Ambassador Collections

All ArtAround Ambassadors are able to request the creation of custom tags in the database, as another way of organizing the art they upload to the map.

So far, Ambassadors have used collections to organize art by neighborhood in the cities they explore, or to unite collections of artworks like the ongoing sculptural series, Hearts of San Francisco.

Sponsored Collections

Collections are also created when a group of artworks’ archivization has been sponsored by a generous organization or business interested in supporting access to public art.
